Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data SR ENTERPRISES, the company behind the Schön Glass brand, collects through schonglass.com, why, on what legal basis, who we share it with and the rights you have. It is designed to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and IT Rules 2011.

2. Browsing the site
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by an external hosting provider. When you visit, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data that your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referring page, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure, working website). The hosting provider processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
No third-party content, cookies or tracking
All fonts, images and scripts are served from our own website, so browsing the site sends no data to Google or any other third party. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or social media plugins.
Language choice
When you choose a language, your browser saves that choice in its local storage so the site opens in your language next time. The information stays on your device and is never sent to us. Storing it is strictly necessary to provide the language setting you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. If you have not chosen a language, the site may use your browser’s language setting to open the matching version; nothing is stored in that case.
3. Inquiry form
The inquiry form collects your name, company, email address, phone number, the product you are interested in, quantity, delivery location and project details, plus the language version of the site you used. Fields marked with an asterisk are required; without them we cannot answer your inquiry. Everything else is voluntary.
We use this data to answer your inquiry and to prepare quotations, samples and orders (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before a contract and performance of a contract), and to follow up on our business relationship (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in serving business customers). The form is processed by our hosting provider, which also screens submissions for spam using an automated filter; your submission is then delivered to our email inbox.
4. Email, phone and WhatsApp
If you email or call us, we process the details you give us to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). If you use the WhatsApp button, you leave our website and the conversation takes place on WhatsApp, operated by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (for the EU) or WhatsApp LLC under their own privacy policy. We see your phone number, profile name and the messages you send us.
5. Recipients
- Our hosting provider, for hosting the site and processing the inquiry form.
- Our email and IT service providers, which store our business correspondence.
- Companies in our group, where needed to quote for or produce your order.
- Freight forwarders, shipping lines, couriers and customs authorities, when we ship an order to you.
- Public authorities, where the law requires us to disclose information (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
6. Transfers outside your country
We are based in India and our hosting provider may process data in the United States, so your data is processed outside the European Economic Area. Transfers to the hosting provider are protected by the safeguards in its data processing agreement, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. India has no EU adequacy decision; when you send us an inquiry from the EEA or the UK, the transfer to us is necessary to take the steps you asked for before a contract or to perform the contract (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).
7. How long we keep data
- Inquiries that do not lead to business: deleted no later than two years after our last contact.
- Quotations, orders, invoices and shipping records: kept for as long as Indian tax, customs and company law requires (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), then deleted.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period under its retention rules.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20) and to withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Under Indian law you may also nominate another person to exercise your rights.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or need the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
To use any of these rights, email info@schonglass.com. We reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work, or in the UK to the Information Commissioner’s Office. In India you may approach the Data Protection Board of India after first raising the matter with us.

12. Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
13. Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
